These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, app, and services. By accessing or purchasing from thatplace.ae, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before using our site or completing any purchase.

1. About ThatPlace

ThatPlace is a Dubai-based design consultancy and online store offering:

  • Design consultations and digital design packages

  • Physical home and lifestyle products

  • Access to the ThatPlace App (project organization and design tracking tool)

ThatPlace is operated from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with services available globally.

2. Services & Products

We offer:

  • Design Services: Including online consultations, renovation plans, and in-person visits.

  • Digital Downloads: PDF guides, design templates, and design packages.

  • Physical Products: Lighting, fixtures, decor, and other home-related goods.

  • ThatPlace App: A digital tool for tracking design decisions and managing renovation details.

All design services and products are intended for personal use only and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or resold without written permission.

3. Booking & Payment

  • All prices are displayed in AED (United Arab Emirates Dirhams) unless otherwise stated.

  • Payment is required at the time of purchase through our secure checkout.

  • Design consultations are confirmed upon payment; you will receive an email with booking instructions.

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Design Services

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled consultation for a full refund.

  • If you miss or cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, a 50% cancellation fee applies.

  • Once a digital design package has been delivered, refunds are not available due to the custom nature of the work.

Physical Products

  • Returns are accepted for eligible items in their original condition within 7 days of delivery.

  • Customized or installed products (e.g., lighting or fixtures) are non-returnable.

  • Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Digital Downloads

  • Digital products are non-refundable once the download link has been sent or accessed.

5. ThatPlace App

The ThatPlace App is provided as a complementary tool to assist users with renovation tracking and design management.

By using the app, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when creating your account.

  • Not upload any unlawful, offensive, or copyrighted content.

  • Understand that free and premium versions offer different levels of access and data storage.

We are not responsible for the loss of data resulting from user error, device malfunction, or app misuse. Premium access may be included in selected ThatPlace packages or purchased separately.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on our website and app — including images, graphics, text, templates, and layouts — is the property of ThatPlace and protected by copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any part of our materials without written permission.

7. User Content & Submissions

If you share project photos, reviews, or content with ThatPlace (via email, form, or app), you grant us a non-exclusive right to use this material for marketing or portfolio purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing.

8. Liability & Disclaimer

Design recommendations are provided as guidance and do not replace professional construction, electrical, or engineering advice.

ThatPlace is not liable for:

  • Damages or losses arising from design choices, installations, or product misuse.

  • Contractor performance or installation outcomes.

  • Variations in color or material appearance due to lighting or screen differences.

All products and digital downloads are provided “as is” without any warranty beyond what’s specified.

9. Third-Party Links & Suppliers

Our site or app may include links to external suppliers or affiliates.

We are not responsible for the accuracy, reliability, or safety of any third-party websites or products.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

We value your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect and protect your data.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Any disputes will be handled in accordance with UAE law through the relevant courts in Dubai.

12. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on our website and will take effect immediately upon publication.
